Venue Spotlight: Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Arts (LICA)
LICA was created for wonderful performances and large-scale events, boasting contemporary facilities and an environmentally-conscious design.
The venue structure has attained an outstanding BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) rating for its sustainability.
The building is nestled among the campus greenery, with a footbridge over a pond providing access to a large foyer space, ideal for receptions.
Boasting almost 600 square metres of floor space, the main feature at LICA is its huge, double-height performance space. Open and airy with flexible partition options, the venue can be divided into smaller areas for various uses, with lighting and sound equipment for productions, awards presentations, gala dinners (capacity of up to 420 cabaret), keynote addresses, and major launches.
Venue Spotlight: Lancaster University Management School (LUMS)
LUMS and its West Pavilion is a building that provides a creative and collaborative space for delegates and visitors.
The extension to Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), named the ‘West Pavilion’, is a five-story contemporary building for academics and staff.
The flexibility of our Management School means you can have a conference, it’s breakout rooms and dining space all under one roof.
The 5667m2 facility also contains a large atrium and a new reception area, linking the new building with the existing LUMS facilities.

24-hour rates start from £129.40+ vat per person, which includes:
- Use of the meeting room complete with state-of-the-art Audio Visual equipment for hybrid events, including wireless microphones, multiple room cameras, bluetooth, HDMI and auxillary connectivity, and more
- Two breakout rooms
- En suite accommodation and full-English breakfast
- Locally sourced hot buffet dinner (two courses, customer chooses menu)
- Two servings of tea, coffee, and biscuits (one mid-morning, one mid-afternoon)

Lancaster University Conferences & Events+ has demonstrated exceptional initiative in implementing sustainable solutions, from reducing paper waste and replacing plastic merchandise at events to providing digital alternatives in a delegate app and introducing campus wayfinding via MazeMap.
Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
The University has invested heavily in its campus, including in accessibility and disability support.
A new fully accessible Changing Places toilet has opened on campus. The facility has been specially designed to accommodate the needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, or with physical disabilities including muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis.
We have recently created an Accessibility Kit which is available to anybody attending events with Lancaster Conferences.
